An early 19thC pearlware silver lustre Jug, front with 'Joseph Whitelegg, 1814', with 'God Speed the Plow' verse and 'That by the plough would thrive himself must either hold or drive' flanking either side, H 19cm.
Provenance; The property of a Collector, amassed over the last 50 years.

The top of the handle is restored as well as a portion of the rim where it has been chipped. Otherwise, there is a chip to the foot and a blemish to spout. Paint has worn in areas.
