An 18thC Chinese porcelain powder blue Charger, decorated with overpainted gilt depiction of ornate flower basket, damaged and restuck, Kangxi pictorial mark verso, D 28cm, together with a powder blue Tea Caddy, restored neck and lid, H 13cm, a small Chinese blue and White Dish, finely painted with apocryphal Chenghua six character mark verso, D 12.5cm, and an octagonal Dish, with staple repair, D 16cm, also with a Kraak-style Saucer with Kangxi pictorial mark, D 11.2cm and another blue and white Saucer (6)
Provenance - The Damien Parsons Collection. The property of the late John Damien Parsons, an East Devon architect and husband of poet Patricia Beer, whose interest in Asian Art was sparked after he inherited a few pieces of Chinese porcelain from his grandfather. Over many decades Parsons continued to add to the collection, sourcing Chinese and Japanese Ceramics and Works of Art from exhibitions and other collections. Pieces from the Parsons Collection were recently exhibited at Mount Edgcumbe.
